Yes — Kitchya works on iPhone, Android and in your browser. It's a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can add it to your home screen from Safari or Chrome without going through the App Store. Native iOS and Android apps are also available.

You need a free account to use Kitchya. Creating one takes about 30 seconds — just an email address and password. Your account keeps your data safe and lets Family Sync work across devices.

Kitchya includes a 14-day free trial with full access to everything — no credit card needed. After that it's £2.99/month or £24.99/year (saving you about two months). Less than a coffee a month.

When your 14-day trial ends you'll be asked to subscribe to continue. Your data is never deleted — if you come back later, everything will still be there. There are no surprises and no automatic charges.

You can cancel any time from within the app — tap the ⚙️ settings icon, scroll to the subscription section and tap Cancel. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period. No awkward phone calls or hidden processes.

Family Sync lets everyone in your household see the same meal plan, pantry and shopping list in real time. Tap the Sync button in the app, generate a family code and share it with your household. Anyone who enters the same code instantly shares your kitchen — changes appear live, no refreshing needed.

Yes — tap + Custom on the Recipes page to add your own. Give it a name, ingredients and steps, and it'll appear alongside the built-in recipes in your planner and suggestions. Your custom recipes sync across all your devices.

Go to the Pantry tab and tap Scan. Point your camera at a supermarket receipt and Kitchya's AI will read the items and add them to your pantry automatically. It works with most major UK supermarket receipts. You can review and edit the results before saving.

Tap the ✨ AI button in the header for personalised meal suggestions based on what's in your pantry, the season, your household size and any dietary preferences you've set. It's a good way to use up ingredients before they go off, or just find something new to try.

Yes. Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase and is never sold or shared with third parties. Family Sync uses a shared PIN — your password is never shared with anyone. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You can delete your account directly from within the app. Tap the ⚙️ settings icon, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account. This will permanently delete your account, subscription and device data. Your shared family kitchen data will not be deleted — other household members can continue using it.

If you can't access the app, email hello@kitchya.com and we'll delete your account within 30 days.
